The Severstal Columbus mill covers more than a million square feet, and features a state-of-the-art melt shop, thin slab caster,
six-stand hot mill, five-stand tandem cold mill and a hot-dip galvanizing line. The facility can produce up to 1.5 million
tons of high grade steel products for manufacturing plants in the southern US and northern Mexico. A planned expansion will
double that capacity.
