Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
MSDS provide workers, customers and emergency personnel information on handling and safety procedures
for various product types. MSDS content includes material composition, hazard identification, toxicological data
and regulatory information, Current Severstal Columbus MSDS -- on sheet steel products -- is now available for
download here.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) product information
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program requires that the components of environmentally sustainable
construction projects contain various levels of recycled material. Steel produced in the Severstal Columbus mill includes an
average of 80% recycled content. This content is composed of recycled automobiles, buildings, equipment, etc., and includes
scrap generated onsite. The recycled content is approximately 6% pre-consumer scrap and 94% post-consumer scrap.
At full capacity, the Severstal Columbus mill recycles more than a million tons of scrap into new sheet steel every year.

Flat Rolled Steel Claim Policy
The Severstal Columbus Flat Rolled Steel Claim Policy will describe the general expectations required to mutually resolved claims on defect material. This is a general policy may not cover all claims situations that may arise during the course of business. Severstal Columbus reserves the right to handle each claim individually, based on the circumstances surrounding the claim.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals)
Severstal Columbus is fully compliant with the European Union’s REACH
(Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) rules.

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
Severstal Columbus products meet or exceed the requirements
of the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
regulations, as well as the United Kingdom’s Restriction of the Use
of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical or Electronic Equipment
regulations (2008).
