Fourteen different automotive assembly plants -- representing as much as a quarter of the country’s domestic
car and light truck production – operate within 300 miles of the Severstal Columbus plant. To serve those plants, Severstal Columbus
can dedicate specific production to these automotive steels:
- Hot-rolled sheet for unexposed automotive parts (stampings and tubing for frames, brackets, suspension parts, wheels, axles and drive shafts)
- Cold-rolled sheet for roofs, bumpers and other unexposed auto body components
- Galvanized / Galvannealed sheet for inner door panels, internal parts & brackets and underbody parts
