Jim Hrusovsky
President and Chief Executive Officer
Hrusovsky has been Chief Executive Officer of Severstal Columbus since January 2008 and was Chief Operating Officer
of Severstal North America from November 2006 to December 2007. Hrusovsky served as Vice President and
General Manager at Mittal Steel's Burns Harbor (Indiana) Plant from 2005 to 2006, and held the same title
at ISG's Indiana Harbor Plant from 2003 to 2005. He was Division Manager in the Steel Producing and
Finishing Divisions at ISG from 2002 to 2003. He worked in various management positions at the Hot
Rolling and Finishing Division, Hot Strip Mills Division and Direct Hot Charge Division at LTV Steel
from 1997 to 2002. Earlier in his career, Hrusovsky held a variety of managerial, metallurgical and
engineering positions at The Timken Company. He has 26 years experience in steel manufacturing.
Hrusovsky holds BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Case Western
Reserve University.
Mark Yost
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Yost has been Chief Financial Officer of Severstal Columbus since May 2008. From December 2007 to May 2008, Yost was General Manager, Maintenance, Repair and Operations Purchasing at SeverStal North America where he also held the roles of Manager, Profit Analysis and Business Planning from 2005 to 2007, and Manager, Profit Analysis, Budgeting and Treasury from 2004 to 2005. Yost held various finance positions with Rouge Steel and has 13 years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry. He graduated from the University of Michigan.
John Bell
Executive Vice President and Manager of Operations
A native of upstate, New York, John Bell began his steel career at J&L Steel’s Graham Research Center as a senior research engineer. In 1973, he became the chief steel plant metallurgist in the melt shop at McLouth Steel in Detroit. Bell joined National Steel’s Granite City Works in 1982 as manager of continuous casting. In 1987, Bell joined Nucor as melt shop manager at Nucor-Yamato and in 1995 became melt shop manager at Nucor-Berkeley. In 2004 he was appointed general manager of steelmaking technologies at Nucor. Now Executive Vice President and General Manager of Operations for Severstal Columbus, Bell holds bachelors and masters degrees in metallurgical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

LeRoy Prichard
Vice President of Technology
Prior to joining Severstal Columbus late in 2003, LeRoy Prichard was the CEO of MMFX Steel Corporation, a start-up company with a patented corrosion-resistant steel being introduced into the market place. Prior to his position at MMFX, Prichard was responsible for researching and implementing new steel technologies at Nucor from 1989 to 1995. In 1987, when Prichard joined Nucor, he was an engineering/project manager where he worked on mini mill construction and start up projects. Mr. Prichard’s steel career began in 1967 at US Steel where he first met John Correnti. Prichard is Vice President of Technology at Severstal Columbus, and responsible for equipment and technology acquisition at the new facility.
Mark Miller, P.E.
Vice President and Director of Projects
The son of a steelworker in the Pittsburgh area, Mark is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He began a career in the steel industry even before graduating college: he supported his college education working summers in the coke plant at LTV Aliquippa works. Starting as an engineer for General Motors, Miller moved on to Cooper Power Systems, followed by D&L, Inc., then Bricmont, on to Severstal Technology, and as of March 2008, Severstal Columbus as Vice President and Director of Projects. As a registered Professional Engineer with a background of over 30 years in equipment design, facility engineering, automation, project management and construction management in steel and steel related industries, Mark is responsible for the overall development and implementation of capital investment projects at Severstal Columbus. Mark’s family includes his wife Penny, an RN with a Masters in Hospital Administration, and three teenage children.
Charlie Furman
External Relations Manager
Charlie Furman -- External Affairs Manager for Severstal Columbus -- joined Severstal Columbus in February, 2006 as Human Resources Manager. Furman had a 29 year career with Bethlehem Steel, serving in multiple locations in a broad range of human resource functions with a concentration in employee relations. He ended his tenure after directing the full scope of HR functions while Manager of Human Resources at Bethlehem’s Burns Harbor, Indiana facility. Furman has also consulted in employee benefits plans and human resource/business process integrations for merging businesses. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University. A native of Valparaiso, Indiana, Furman was born in Buffalo, New York.
