SeverCorr Continues to Grow with New Management Appointment

(Columbus, Mississippi, October 4, 2006): SeverCorr – America’s newest steel-producing company – is pleased to announce the addition of Tom Marchak to its management team.

Marchak comes to SeverCorr to serve as General Manager of Sales. Prior to joining SeverCorr, he was Vice President of Commercial for Kenwal Steel, operating out of Kenwal’s Burns Harbor, Indiana facility. He also worked for 20 years in various positions with Bethlehem Steel, rising to Manager of Cold-Rolled Products. A graduate of the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, Marchak also graduated from executive courses at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“Adding Tom to our team is just one more sign of the progress we are making as we create a new kind of steel company,” said Michael Wagner, Chief Commercial Officer of SeverCorr. “We’ve said from the beginning what will set us apart is a unique cadre of skilled, committed team members proud of their company and their products. Tom is that type of person and will be a wonderful ambassador to our future customers.”

About SeverCorr LLC: SeverCorr was formed in 2003 to design, engineer, build and operate a state-of-the-art steel facility to service growing manufacturing opportunities in the Southern United States. In October of 2005, SeverCorr broke ground on a next-generation steel mill near Columbus, Mississippi. When complete in mid-2007, the plant will produce 1.5 million tons of high-quality steels a year for use in the automotive, building, agricultural, pipe & tube, and appliance industries. Future expansion includes a second production line that will double capacity, as well as space for production partners and manufacturers on the company’s 1400-acre mega-site.
