(Columbus, MS) Apr 18, 2006- SeverCorr presented donations today totaling $100,000 to three local organizations. The "Community Commitment" ceremony was held at 4:30 PM at the SeverCorr Industrial site. SeverCorr has identified these organizations as being key to the success of improving the lives of children in the GTRA area. The beneficiaries are East Mississippi Community College, the Institute of Community Services, "Head Start," and H.E.A.R.T.S., "Helping Every Age Reach and Teach Students."
SeverCorr President and CEO, John Correnti, stated, “This is SeverCorr’s way of saying a small thank you to the GTRA area. When the mill is fully functional 3Q2007, they plan to encourage employee contribution to the community.
